What breed?

The longer I look at it, the more I'm wondering if it might be a barred hybrid. Compare it with the Barred Rock in mwilde's post and the cuckoo maran below. It doesn't look quite like either, perhaps something between.

If it's a rose comb then you have a Dominique. If a single comb, then either Barred Rock or Cuckoo Maran (or a barred hybrid of the two).

I think that's what it is--a hybrid with a lot of Barred Rock and Cuckoo Maran blood in it.
