what breed?

I don't see the need to possibly injure your bird by putting it in with another rooster. I would give you a money back guarantee that bird is male, there's not a doubt in my mind.
 
No I understand. My friends have a farm...I buy all my meat from them. Plus there are about 100 chickens. I'm hoping that if if is a rooster they might be willing to take him in. I feel sure the guy I bought him from will just kill him. He is such a sweet bird and so smart. If he would never crow, I would love to keep him. I live in a neighborhood though, people will complain.
 
Update: you were all right. My friend and I put Lily in a small pen with one of their grown roosters, and the boys immediately flared their necks and charged each other. We intervened before anyone got hurt, of course. The whole thing took five minutes.

The good news is...I have a co-worker with a small flock of hens who asked to be Lily's forever home if we decided to re-home him. I dropped him off there today in exchange for a white leghorn hen. He will have a very healthy, nice flock of hens to tend to. Happy ending!
