Oh you are right!! I guess it would be best to wait a couple weeks then i will compare again with the feathers coming in!

Ideal has pullet specials from time to time. Check on thursdays is when they ussually post there specials. I paid 1.35 per chick plus 30 shipping.

Ok heres two more I though I knew but apparantly not. The First I though was a white Cochin. Its got feathered feet but black tin the wing feathers.




And the Second. I though was a RIR but getting black in wing feathers.

Can you tell what kind of comb the first chick is getting? And, for RIR chicks, that is typical. They normally get really pretty feathering as chicks and gradually turn into a dark solid red.

Well the second is a RIR in fact but still no idea on the first. I thought it was a white cochin but its starting to get those dark feathers so still not sure. I have not heard back from Ideal on there guesses.
