hum. You're right. Those guys do not have green legs... Not EEs. Since they have a rose comb, maybe another Wyandotte variety??

Ee's are a cross. They don't have to have green legs, but seems to throw off in most hatches.

Sheila tell hubby he's a party pooper!!
I have some plain buff that I didn't get a pic of that I am hoping are buff orps. The 2 I did get a pic of have some patterning to their wing feathers which makes me think they're something else.
The pack I ordered can be any of the LF breeds Meyer carries.

Rachie he thinks we are getting too many. When we started in May he got me for Mothers day 2 RIR they were 2 months old from our neighbor then we went to an auction got 6 PR they were 2-3 months old all 8 pullets. Then I went to a farm near us got 6 barred rocks 1 week olds 4 possibly 5 are roos they are 8 weeks now and 3 are already trying to crow. then went and got 2 more one BR one black australorp. they are 2 weeks old now not sure gender yet, but since I got so many roos that some I have to rehome I wanted more pullets so I ordered 10 pullet from Ideal. Got comming from them 2BO 2 dominiques 2 naked necks 2 SLW 2 americanuas. I am keeping 2 of the roos. So little does he realize I will have more later:)

Hopefully the ducks'll keep him busy and he won't notice a few extra here and there.

I have the 25 we just got plus 5 left from last year and 11 eggs in the bator! It's fun trying to figure out what I have though it can be a bit maddening at times.

I'll give them a little longer, then post some updated pics. They are slowly starting to change, I'm hoping soon I'll have a better idea what I have.

My EE rooster does NOT have a pea comb, which several folks kept saying was absolutely the only comb for EE roosters.

Nah - ah!
He's very definitely an EE rooster.

He's beautiful! I have 2 comet roos, nice looking but I would love to have something with a little more pizazz.

I've hatched out several EE's and sometimes the leg color doesn't show right away. Most of the time they do. I have pure americauna hens and an EE roo. When I had an americauna roo the leg color showed when hatched. I'm going back to pure Americauna roo soon. Hopefully he will be here this weekend.
