Ok yall help me out here. I’m so curious. We just got McMurrays assorted layer package and I’m having trouble figuring out what some of these are. I’ve got 5 I’m unsure on. (Excuse the messy brooder, they’ve been in it for all of two hrs and have already made a mess of the place 🫣)

1 is an Easter Egger (McMurray incorrectly labels them), 2 a Mottled Houdan, and 3 a Crèvecœur. I need comb pictures of the last two. Does 4 have a head spot?

Here’s 4 and 5s combs. 4 does not have a head spot. It’s completely black

I just realized that last photo of “4” was a different chick 🤣 but still no head spot

Okay this makes a difference. I believe it’s one of their eggers. Their catalog shows some Whiting True Blues that are black in color. A black breed would typically have “penguin” chick down

Embrace the mess or they will drive you insane, lol. There's a reason they're so irresistibly cute.

1,4,5 look like a type of MM's Eggers. They have so many varieties it nearly impossible to know for sure right now. As they start to feather out you may know more.

3 Crevecoeur
2 Mottled Houdan (I think)
