Nice, how much land are you on. When I was a boy we used to raise ducklings to adulthood and then take them to this park that had large ponds for ducks and we would set them free. There were lots of fish for them to eat and we would visit them and they always new us as they were very tame.

Man that's alot of chickens. How many do you have and how much land are you on.

Usually 1 rooster & 5 or 6 hens per flock, plus a back up roosters for each breed. I usually have around 150 adult breeding birds at one time "not counting the geese, ducks, and pigeons". And I hatch anywhere from 300 to 600 chicks per year. I have 40 acres here, the birds are on about 2 acres and the cattle, horses, donkeys, and sheep get the rest. I have a 30 x 50 barn that is the breeder barn. And several sheds with pens that are the grow out barns. I do sell some eggs, chicks, juveniles, and adults sometimes. But its primarily for my own hobby and trying to improve the birds I have. I really don't sell a lot of birds. And truth be told I don't like selling birds. I tend to give away a lot more than I sell. Usually to people I know are truly interested in breeding or improving their own birds. Or that I know will take good care of them.
