Indian Runners are excellent layers (300/yr) and don't fly plus they are great fun to watch when you have a number of them playing follow the leader.

My Khaki Campbells are fantastic layers! They are not supposed to be able to truly fly very high or far but somehow they mysteriously end up in my garden every day with a seven foot high fence! I know they are not crawling in anywhere because the swarms of cottontails can't get in! I've never actually caught them flying over either - sneaky little buggers!!!

They tend to not be as flighty or fickle as khakis.
