What breeds should I get? Looking for a Roo & 2-4 Hens all different

This entire forum has been very helpful even though I have a tiny flock.

I currently have 2 Columbian Rock hens, 2 Comet hens and 2 Comet Roos.

I am going to place both of my Comet roos and get 1 very special roo.
I want something that looks like a "standard" roo with a single comb and lots of colors. Long tail would be nice, but again I am new to breeds.

I also would like to purchase 2-4 more hens in cool colors or patterns. Need them to be broody, but do not need to produce many eggs. I like golden laced, barred and so on, but would LOVE to find some unusual colors or crosses there too.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

What are your long term goals? If you plan to hatch and raise youngsters, then you may want to consider a single colourful breed & variety rather than a hodge podge.

As to what is colourful--only you can answer the colours you prefer.
