What you believe is independent of what actually happened. There are fossil eggs that are from a time long before there were chickens (because, of course, chickens aren't the only creatures to lay eggs -- so do most reptiles, amphibians, most fish, most insects, etc). Since the question states "egg" and not "chicken egg" then the answer is "egg."

Chicken...and likely had the egg already developing inside. So I'd have to say both. God is the author of intricate design and beauty in the animal kingdom and He formed all the animals completely as they are and will always be. His first design was perfect and needed no evolving to form what we see today in our yards.

Then you have to decide weather an egg was an egg before Adam(& descendants) gave it a name an if a chicken was a chicken before Adam(& descendants) gave it a name. Basic odds say that spotting your first egg of some kind would happen before spotting your first chicken.

I hate arguing religion but.... Evolution exists an can be seen by going to a chicken show or a dog show. Why people think god made everything perfect an evolution is a fluke I don't understand. God made the world with evolution because there is no such thing as perfect without it.

I just see saying that evolution was not part of gods grand plan is saying god made a mistake. God made no mistakes. Every part of the planet is different an god programmed evolution in to his system so his creation could do what he asked it to do, to "go forth an multiply".
