Actually the dinosaur came first.... and eventually they turned from reptiles into birds.... and then we kept the birds when they got smaller and we ate the eggs.... so.... neither!

Well guys some people dont beleive in god,so you must go for the evolution theory,A chicken could not have its genetic material altered during life,so the egg must of evolved an been first.
Chickens is the answer.
Just because someone chooses to believe or not believe something does not alter what the truth is. I can believe the sky is black & white checkered all I want but that doesn't change the fact it is blue.
Genesis 1:21-25
"21. God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind ; and God saw that it was good.
22. God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
23. There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24. Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind : cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind "; and it was so.
25. God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind ; and God saw that it was good.
The key to the answer is "after their kind". Also note each was created on two separate days.
To think that chickens evolved from reptiles and feathers from scales takes a whole lot bigger leap of faith than it does to accept there is One True God.

Agreed, I'm very skeptical about evolution, hubby disagrees with me somewhat. Chicken first!

The answer lies with what you believe, and that is fine. I personally do believe in creation, and agree the chicken came first, others believe in evolution and say that the 1 cell organisms came first, and after a long line then the chicken emerged. No answer is right or wrong, it just depends on how you look at it.

The egg came first. It's a very obvious fact to anyone who has studied reproduction for any amount of time.
Maybe if I finish my paper I will explain exactly why that is later.
