what can chicks eat other than normal chick feed?

Give grit with the bread, if they are pecking on the walls put the food where they peck...raise it up a little etc. mashed up cooked egg is a very very good idea.

Im from palestine . I just gave her bread right now and crumbled it up. They seem not to know how to eat. When i peck it with my finger they just ignore me. And peck at walls of the brooder.....

You need chick starter feed for the first 10 weeks of a chickens life it is important. They will know how to peck at chicken food better then bread.They are going to starve if you dont get them any.I also recommend getting them chick grit and meal worms.

I have a simple little hand crank grinder & have been grinding a bit of the whole grain feed our hens get for the chicks since mama hen is raising them in the run.

No treats till they are all eating their feed. Try sprinkling some on the ground. They aren't born, knowing what to eat. And a balanced diet is essential for very young chicks. Dipping their beaks into a pile a feed can help 'show' them what to eat.

No feeds stores?!?!!?!!?
Get sand in replacement of grit then you don't have to spend money on ground up rocks very similar to Sand.I tried grit my chicks never eat it they loved sand. A dust bath is an added bonus.

Mealworms great as long as feed is provided as well and sand for grit and dust bathing
