I have 1 week old ducklings (10) and I noticed they seemed to like blades of grass and things. I only put pine shavings (as bedding), feed, water, in there boxes. I do put a little scratch in there but they don't seem to eat the scrach as much as a chicken.

I read grass, weeds, vegetables, sand, and things like that are good for ducks to have.....is this good for Ducklings ??? If so is there anything I need to watch for.

My mallards nibble at my fingers and I understand that means they want a treat. So, what is the best treat to give them ?

Your mallards are nibbling your fingers because they are inquisitive and will nibble most things you put near them. Feeding them treats when they do this is a good way to get them to stay quiet and friendly. Try them on some small pieces of soft fruits like apricot or peach or some mushed up peas.

My ducklings enjoy FINELY chopped danelion leaves, romaine lettuce, strawberries and strawberry leaves (they went crazy over this) and mushed up grapes for treats. Not much, just a once a day treat.
