What can I bribe 2-week old chicks with?

I'm almost in tears, that my 8 days old chicks don't want to eat hard boiled mashed up egg yolk, have been trying for 4 days now. Is it because their mum makes noises to them? Maybe she says"don't eat that you're to young"?, lol. Will keep trying, as the older chooks love the left over egg. The babies love the meal worms though.

I noticed that the chicks that had a hen mommy were far less inclined to want to come to me than the ones I hand raised. Of course, they all know me as the Bringer of Goodies now, so all I have to do is walk onto the deck and they come running from all over. They still don't like for me to handle them, though.
