What can I do, if anything, should the power go out during snow storm

We live up near you and just invested in a propane heater for this supposedly huge storn were to get tonight. Hopefully the power won't go out for either of us. I have some eggs in the incubator that are due on the 21st.

I too was just looking for some ideas. I am sitting here in Atlanta and we are already covered in snow and I have my ten babies in the basement under two heat lamps. I am so worried about the power going out especially tonight while I am asleep.
I have a box already with towels and blankets in the house in case I have to go and get them and bring them in. I have to go outside to get to the basement!
I do have fireplaces and wood...I didn't even think about that thanks for the idea.

Good luck everyone and I hope and pray none of us lose power...

Thank you every one for the ideas!
Keeping my fingers crossed that none of us (Georgia) have to use them this week.
I've been more worried about the babies, than I have been about not having coffee!
My first investment, for refurbishing this old 1930's farm house is going to be a wood burning stove!

Crickette, we have a big package of those heat thingies you put in your gloves ?
Hand warmers ?
Once you open the pack they generate heat for a few hours.
We use them to keep chicks warm under a towel in a box when we have transported them.
The hand warmers get quite hot, so have to have a dish towel over the top.
I have also stuffed 2 of them in a tube sock and curled it into a circle around babies, they snuggled in the center like it was a nest.
Look for these hand warmers at sporting goods stores or maybe hardware.
They come in handy!
