What can I do... :(

What can I do when I am not with my chickens? They live an hour and a half away (since where I live, no chickens allowed) at family's place. I can see them about 2 times a month. I spend most of my time figuring out what kind of coop I want, what breeds I want,ect. But it gets irritating when you dont have your chickens with you to see or talk to. I have been thinking that I could always hatch and raise the chicks until they are old enough to go outside, but have their own space inside the chicken coop/shed where my other chickens are....
But still, I wish I could be able to have chickens where I live

Get a Silkie and keep it in the house. Mine wears a diaper when she's out of her cage. They are a lot like little fuzzy dogs.... they love the attention.

Haha thats a cute idea! Once I have one silkie, I will have to have another..

See if cortunix quail are allowed where you live. They have alot of the same quirks that chickens do, but many areas don't have them banned/restricted. Even the male's "crow" is more song than caw, so they blend into neighborhood noises (stick out a few bird feeders and the neighbor's won't even notice them).
