I have 3, 5-week old chicks. Today, while I was gone, my dog somehow got a hold of their feed and ate it all. I just barely noticed, and I wont be able to get them more until ~2pm tomorrow. That is 16 hours from now! Is there anything that I can feed them from my kitchen to hold them over until then? They have a little bit of food left in their feeder, but not much. Please help!

you can feed them just about anything, note rice should be cooked first, beans, raisins, oatmeal, cranberries canned veggies corn etc. I have some that will eat cat food, but I dont recomend it at 5 weeks

What about boiled eggs? Don't forget some grit too.

Could you take some dry dog food grind it up fine (food processer or handi-chopper) mix with the food you have?

Crazy dogs. I hope your dog didn't get sick like too of mine did about 2 wks. ago. They ate until they almost popped.

Yes, I was going to say crumbled hard boiled eggs. Or I sometimes scramble eggs and cook them in the microwave. My chicks seemed to eat the crumbled boiled eggs easiest.

Or scramble up an egg..and smash it up real good..it's fast to prepare. I agree, if you have any small grit..or sand....not too much sand..
