All that has nothing to do with the topic at hand which is DIY chicken feed. That's why I said above that foraging can make up for deficiencies in the feed.

@Sally PB, sure, here it is, of course these amounts are only approximate, I'm not super precise in my measurements. This is for 12 average sized chickens per day.

5 cup whole Barley
2 T Bentonite Clay
1 T Kelp
Alfalfa

I sprout the barley for 2-3 days, then add the clay and kelp, I throw a large handful of alfalfa hay in their coop every few days, adding more as they finish it.
