What can I put in water to repel mites?

I’m on a second round of mites (6months apart) and I clean regularly etc. I used elector psp the first time, it worked great. But I’d like to find something I can add to their water or food that might help as well.

I don't know of anything to put in food or water. I spray with permethrin and then spray 10 days later to break the egg cycle
