How early can a hen start laying eggs that are hatchable???

From my personal experiences, I've had better hatch rates once our girls turned a year old. Pullet eggs will also hatch but I've had better luck with the hen eggs.

I agree with Dawn, but you can hatch pullet eggs, usually after the pullet has been laying for a couple of weeks at least. The hatch rate will be lower than for eggs laid by an older hen.
