What can you do with Feathers???

Well I have a large collection of feathers. Ducks, goose, turkeys, peacocks and guineas.


What do you do with your feathers?? Ive put some in/on my artwork.Ive thought about making earrins but...I want to do something cool with them, something that will last. So what do you do?

Sadly I havent taken photos but I have made some ROCKIN' wreaths! I use the Christmas type wreath base you can get like at a Michael s type craft store (I have a big stash of these) and use all sorts of feathers, leftover leaves off other silk plants, maybe pine cones or nuts. They are beautiful. In addition you can glue in there some blown eggs. How lovely for the door of a chicken woman such as yourself! Remember...if you are adding large flowers or pine cones use ODD numbers, symmetry doesn't look natural. Using long feathers or conical shaped flowers you can place uprights at 4 oclock and downward facing feathers at 5 oclock. Work in little feathers heavily throughout the rest of the wreath all facing the same direction as each other (like all going clockwise) We want photos of what you choose!

Earrings, Fly tying, . . . . And apparently Wal-Mart uses them for "fashionable" feathered boots.

Extra long Saddle feathers are the new hair extension.
Much to the horror of the fly tying community, because its driving the prices up, but that is an option for some.

Someone post pics...are they like feather covered uggs??? I WANT!
I make earrings and dreamcatchers with mine...also tie to the end of windchime to pic up what little bit of a breeze (NOT) we have here in FL.
