Aspirin
Dissolve five (5 grain) aspirin tablets in one gallon of water.
Offer this solution free-choice to the birds for the duration of an illness. The solution aspirin equivalent to 25 grains/gallon or 324 mg/gallon of drinking water. The dosage rate is about 25 mg/lb body weight per day.

Capsicum cream (made with cayenne pepper) is also good for reducing inflammation. But *do not* use while treating with aspirin.

just curious..how do you know when a chicken HAS arthritis?

Doing searches mostly but I also think of them as people and because of his age (which am not sure of exactly)but he is old. he doesn't have bumblefoot or an injury or mites so I figure it is arthritis.
