Marans. Everything... good or bad. I am thinking about getting some.

i have 5 cuckoo maran pullets and these are my first. I have read that they lay the darkest brown eggs of any dark egg layers.

We have 1 grown cuckoo hen that lays a very dark egg. We like her so well that we bought 16 girls and 3 roos that are now 3 weeks old we have had them 2 weeks they are starting to barr out. It's an addiction but a good one.
