I was reading the post about how to get gum out of clothes, and the suggestion was freezing or peanut butter.. and I thought maybe it would make a good thread to post suggestions on what every day home items can be used to remove unwanted stuff!

I use Milk to get ink pen, or marker ink off clothes, counter etc.

I use cooking oil to remove price tag stickyness stuck on an item.

I use magic erasure to clean my dog bowls - it cuts through the grease and dog slobber slime really quickly!

I use WD-40 to get crayon marks off the walls

Thank goodness kids have outgrown that!

I use white vinegar to clean hard water deposits off the cat water bowl, the toilets, sinks, the windows.

I used to use hairspray to get ink off stuff, but since I retired, I don't use it, so the milk hint is great!

I use erasable white board marker to get permanent marker off of walls, counters and white boards.... Just write over it with the erasable marker and it wipes right off.

What do you folks use to get blood out of denim? I do a lot of home processing and don't always remember to trash bag myself up

I wash my husbands icky uniforms (he is a mechanic) and use murphy's oil soap in the laundry. Just a little and it really helps get the grease and stuff out.
