I was reading the post about how to get gum out of clothes, and the suggestion was freezing or peanut butter.. and I thought maybe it would make a good thread to post suggestions on what every day home items can be used to remove unwanted stuff!

I use Milk to get ink pen, or marker ink off clothes, counter etc.

I use cooking oil to remove price tag stickyness stuck on an item.

I use magic erasure to clean my dog bowls - it cuts through the grease and dog slobber slime really quickly!

I use white vinegar to clean hard water deposits off the cat water bowl, the toilets, sinks, the windows.

I used to use hairspray to get ink off stuff, but since I retired, I don't use it, so the milk hint is great! [IMG]

I use erasable white board marker to get permanent marker off of walls, counters and white boards.... Just write over it with the erasable marker and it wipes right off.

I wash my husbands icky uniforms (he is a mechanic) and use murphy's oil soap in the laundry. Just a little and it really helps get the grease and stuff out.

Quote:Get a bowl and drape the bloody part over it. Trickle hydrogen peroxide over the stain til it is bobbled away.
