Hi, I just found a wired egg in one of my nest boxes.

It had no shell just a thin clear membrane with the white and yellowy inside.

I picked it up and it was all squashy and I popped it.

I have hared of people finding eggs like this, but I have never gotten one like it before.

I just wanted to know what causes this and how can I prevent it from ever happening again.

From what I've read on the forum, it was just a glitch in the egg making process, and it probably won't happen again.

There's really no way to prevent it, it's just something that happens everyonce in a while!! As long as you have them on layer pellets and have free choice oyster shells they should be fine!!

Thank you I do have them on layer pellets
