What causes an incubator to spike?

I have a Brower Tophatch Incubator that will shoot up for no reason to 102-104 degrees.
This model does not have a wafer. I keep it in a draft free and window free spare bathroom.
Any ideas????????

If it's not caused by room temp changes, then you're probably getting spikes in your electricity. Is your bator plugged into a surge protector?

Mine is hooked up with a surge protector and only had temp spikes when the babies where do
