What chicken lays this specked egg? Pic

My younger Cochins often give me speckled eggs also.

i have golden comets & partridge rocks and get eggs like that regularly.

I have an orpington hen that was laying eggs like that. I read in a book that they are called blood spots.

Not exactly sure what blood spots are caused from. Maybe a young hen passing a large egg.

Does anyone know If this is correct?
