What chickens can't eat.

Some say Apple seed, no avavado pits.
My rule of thumb is if I can eat it so can they. This is the conclusion I have come to after looking into this topic, however this is my first time with chickens we have 4 and got them in April.

Poisonous stuff, don't feed your chickens poisonous stuff, everything else is OK. Don't feed them pop rocks either, especially not with Pepsi or Coke.
I like to feed them dry beans sometimes, cheap, $1 a lb at dollar stores. Cheap good protein. Don't feed them dry beans, poisonous, dry beans are poisonous, cook them first. I use a slow cooker crock pot. Sprouting them first also eliminates the poison, and dollar store beans will sprout.

Onions, chocolate, uncooked beans, avacodo pits, junk food and anything moldy or rotten. Certain plants are toxic as well. Tomato, potato, eggplant and pepper plants are all part of the night shade family and the plants are toxic to chickens.
