Perhaps not with a breed like Wyandotte but the Black variety is unique in Penedesencas. They are a DP breed while the other 3 varieties are egg types. The blacks are about a pound larger and have other different body shape characteristics besides feather color. IMHO, laced birds may be a different story but I wouldn't try crossing crele, partridge or wheaten with black and not have to work hard to eliminate those genes, not to mention the size of the bird.Even within Breeds?
