What chickens should I get for next year?

I love my d'uccle's and the welsummers I have are great . I just love the bantams the hens are super sweet and the roos have so much attitude packed into that small body

icelandics:
These chickens were brought to Iceland by the Vikings in the 9th century AD and were found on most farms for centuries. Indeed, one of their Icelandic names -- Íslenka landnámshænan -- means "Icelandic hen of the settlers." With the advent of the commercial type chickens, by the 1950s the Icelandic breed was nearly extinct. All the birds now existing (less than 3,000) are descended from a very small group of fowl saved in the 1970s.
Icelandics are quite winter-hardy and lay white eggs. This is a long-lived breed and the hens make good broodies. They are also reputed to be quite docile. They are excellent on range, and another of their Icelandic names -- Haughænsni -- means "pile chickens," due to their habit of foraging on manure piles and other places rich with insects and seeds.
There is a great variety in plumage and leg coloration, many comb types exist in the population, and some birds have feathered legs. Crests also occur frequently. The facial skin is red and ear lobes are white.

How are Polishes? My sister REALLY likes the golden ones. They are probably not all that good layers and are probably mostly for show. When I see a pic of them it always makes me laugh. :)

my bantam silver lace is very sweet but i cant help with the laying aspect as she hasn't layed yet but is getting close to time to lay

I have a diverse flock of 2 EE, 2 RIR, 1 barred rock, 1 GLW, 1Redstar, 1Maran, 1 Cochin, and 1 Speckled Sussex. I ordered them from My Pet Chicken. Check out their website, they have a breed info section that is great for finding just the chicken you're looking for. Their minimum shipping order is 3 too.

I have a bearded buff laced polish, she is my favorite chicken! We rescued her. Her 'sister' died, so she became pretty sad. She has no toenails- turkeys ripped them off... she just got attacked by a hawk about 45 minutes ago :(. But she is a great broody, she sacrifised herself for her chicks with the hawk. Doesn't lay many eggs, but I love her.

Awesome, ya I am thinking about getting some from My Pet Chicken. I have done some research on polishes, and they seem really amazing. Rock on Polishes! :)
