Hello everyone.

I would like to enter my showgirls in a poultry show and I am confused on what class to enter them in. I am new to showing. So, do I enter them under the Non-Standard Bantam class or the Utility Breed class?

Thank you in advance to anyone who responds.

Bantams are classed according to comb type and clean or feather legged; showgirls are feather legged therefore, they would be entered in the feather legged class as showgirls or more appropriately Naked Neck Silkies and by variety.

Naked Neck Silkies (previously known as "showgirls") are entered as Color Naked Neck Silkie. They are a variety of Silkie just like the Bearded and Non Bearded. Silkies are in the Feather Leg Class.
If you choose to enter them as "showgirls" in an ABA sanctioned show it is quite likely that they will be handled as such and not allowed to compete for the full range of awards they are entitled to had they been properly entered.
I don't keep up on what the APA is doing (very little) so Naked Neck Silkies may not yet be recognized as a variety of Silkie.
