At Texas Women's my brother studied adaptive physical education; but not with the ladies. According to him, the ladies wanted nothing to do with him, or his kind.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University. I went back and received Teacher Certification from same. (It took 100 extra hours of classwork, to do so.) Two DD's graduated from same, eldest was an English Major, other was a Communications Major. Youngest is a Senior (English Major) at the Unversity of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. DH received his Bachelor of Science in Education from EIU, then received his Juris Doctor from the U of I. (He still practices law.)
Max., if you posted because you're looking for a school, please consider going In-State. It is ALWAYS the least expensive option. And, most often you do better going to a different graduate school when you go job-hunting, though there are degrees which prefer same school--you'll know before you graduate.
BTW, my parents were the first in their families to go to college. Father got his Mechanical Engineering degrees from Clemson (Bachelor of Science) and Temple Univerisity (Philadelphia, PA) for his Masters of Engineering. Mother got her Bachelor of Science in Business from Duquesne Univerisity (Pittsburgh, PA.) This was in the 1950's, and 1960's. College was not as commonplace to everyone as it is today.
