What color am I?

Hello all-
I hatched this male in 2010 from shipped eggs, but I'm not sure what color classification he falls into. He came from a farm where there were a variety of colors, but the eggs weren't specified which hen they came from. He has always been tannish brown on his wings, with a purple tint to his head, neck and tail feathers. Thanks for any help

Hmmm... I'm not sure. I would have said purple black shoulder because they have brown wings, but if he was not white when he hatched he is not a black shoulder.

He was yellow-peach when hatched. I thought he was a black shoulder chick too, but grew up with different colors than the other Black Shoulder chicks. Most likely purple black shoulder then. Do the hens look similiar- IB pattern with purplish hue to head/neck, and tan brown wings?

I've never seen a picture of anything like him. Look at the brown in the train. He is beautiful!!!

He is a purple blackshoulder looks just like mine did as a two year old and had same question, to bad I cut his head off in picture as a three year old he was from eggs from deerman and he says he should be split pied I bought a yearling purple we dark pied hen will find out next year if split pied

Here's a couple of pics from last year(2011)- still alot of white on his head and wings- with 1 IB male and 2 Black Shoulder males of the same age (he's third from the left). He's definitely browner on his tail, and slight purple to his head.

Is the hen in the background also a purple black shoulder?

The first bird looks like he has the white eye gene, as well.
