what color are my baby cochins????????? All you cochin experts help!!!

ok so im very confused now..... do i have any partridge??? b/c one looks MF and one you say is red??? im so confused i just would love to make a good buy once!!!

Nothing worng with having a little variety! I think you might be off to a nice banty collection.
I have one black cochin, one white, one jap, one buff brahma, and 2 MF in the banty coop. They look so pretty running around the yard with all of the different colors. When yours get a little bigger- play with the chicken calculator and see what kind of chicks you could get if you crossed them. Cochins are great broodies & moms- and the chicks are the best!

ok since it looks like i have three kinds of cochin bantam how hard is it to find Red, Partridge, and MF bantam cochins???

i believe its partridge. on lots of colors its prety common to have white on the tips of the wings as chicks but they outgrow it as they age.

none of them look partride to me--that color has a very dark underbase (brown)

I think they're mutt color cochins (like buff x black) or just mutts in general, sorry--the first "cochin" has very poor leg/foot feathering for its age--you should barely be able to see those toes!

Yeah, I would have to agree with bantamsrus... they are probably crosses. That's why no one can recognize them.

i really hope their not crossed because i really wanted to breed them and show them!!! ugh!! maybe they are partridge and i took bad pics!!

I really really belive you have a red cochin.

I have a red and the same thing happened to him when he was little, but the grew out of it.

Although mine has a bit to much black in his tail. But i great complimates on him, that i should really use him for breeding, becouse of th ebright red that he has.

ok someone said somethin about the white tips with the partridge being normal and they grow out of it is it like the black my pure black ameraucanas hav some white feathers and they always grow out of it...same deal if so they all look partridge to me!!
