This is our first eggs hatched here at the farm since we got chickens! Roo is a splash and hen is black! Currently letting momma raise them in a brooder in our basement due to the cold weather

Splash X Black = 100% Blue.

Pictures of the parents are always helpful? The lighter chick looks like a splash so maybe the hen is actually a dark blue.

Often silkies are not true to color. They are often in mixed color flocks of all silkies despite being labeled as one color. I think the 2 dark grey chicks are blue, but the third one that is light grey is odd and I'm pretty sure that means one (or both) of the parents isnt true to color. I'm not an expert with silkies. @Debbie292d can you help with this?

I think you typo'd
Splash x Black = 100% blues

Agreed that one of the parents appears to carry chocolate.
Or would dun be possible? I can't tell them apart. (New to dun)
Roo and hen
Gorgeous birds
I know blues can vary in color, but it is odd to see.
Are those two for sure the parents?
