Hi Everyone!

Here's the chicks that Joy (MorningGloryHatchery)was talking about at one week old.

Black? A couple of them have light beaks and a mix of black, grey and lighter colored down. They have lighter spots on the back of head.

White? Two are yellow and starting to get white wing feathers and have pink beaks/comb area The third has stayed a more creamy color with a blue/greyish cast to it and has a darker beak/comb area.

It's very possible. The hen had been in with five roos. Two white, two black, and a Cuckoo.

She's been with just the Cuckoo since the beginning of June and now sitting on 7 eggs that are due to hatch next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Ohh, I'm so jealous then! I ordered some ebay eggs that had a possability of Cuckoo chicks since they had a flock of silkies and did not seperate colors, but nonw of mine are. Looks like I got all blues.... I still love them though; I will get my cuckoo one of these days!

I'll let you know what hatches next week.

It'll be interesting to see what the new chicks look like compared with these little ones since I know for sure that the Cuckoo is the papa.

Here's the roo.

I'll put her back with him and I'd be happy to send you some eggs.
