So these two babies are from Cree Farm BBS eggs. When they hatched I thought they were splash, but now I don't know. Are they perhaps just a light blue? The second chick in the picture above is clearly a dark blue. These two others almost have a lavender tint to them, but genetically I don't think that's possible.

I'm new to BBS coloring. What say the experts?

edited to clarify my confusing post. I have TWO chicks colored like this. The three pictures show two different light chicks. Confusing? Yes.

My eyes aren't focusing well tonight for some reason. My splash girl from Cree is a pearly white color with a few accent feathers. I can't tell if yours is splash or not. In the first pic, it looks splash, but in the second pic, it almost looks light blue. Sorry, I'm no help! Can't make up my mind. Here is my splash, Snow.

I went back and edited my post for clarity. There are actually two different chicks colored like that. Perhaps one is a splash and the other a pale blue? For some reason I thought splash was white with spots of color on them. Maybe the splotches won't come in until the final adult feathers come in? That's what my mille fleurs did. No dots until the last molt.

Awwww... look at the sweet fat face! What a beauty she is (although she doesn't seemed pleased by the presence of the paparazzi)...
Thanks for the picture. Maybe these babies will grow into that. Hope so!

I have 2 lighter blue ones like that from cree now! I posted about them I really like the color but was told the darker blue was more desierable. I am gonna keep one anyway for my breeding cause the lacing is beautiful on her.

I think you're going to have to wait until they finish molting into their more adult feathers. Your light pullets are showing a darker change on their head. Post pics in a couple of months.

I would wager on splashes.

That third picture is definately a splash, look at the tail feathers for the splash of color.

here are mine all eating you can see the 2 light blue ones a splash and 2 regular blue.

I am so following this thread I would love to know what color they are
