I have a friend that has a chick with a black beak. She would like to know what the standard color is on a Cochin's beak. She has show Cochin's in the past, but has never had an off color beak.

Please Help....

Thanks so much

Sorry, "sort of Mille/Calico" isn't a variety in the Standard. Can't help you.

If and when Mille Fleur is ever recognized as a variety for Cochins, it should follow the SOP as in other breeds. At least that is what they are trying to accomplish at the current time. But recognition is still several years away. For most other breeds, the beak color in Miller Fleur is "Horn with slightly gray shading".
For most all other (Bantam) Cochin varieties, the SOP beak color is "Swarthy Yellow". A couple exceptions to this are:

Black Tailed Red - Reddish Horn
Buff - Yellow
Partridge - Horn, shading to yellow at point
Red - Reddish horn
White - Yellow

There are no (Cochin) varieties where the beak should be black.

In judging, the color of the beak is only 1 point out of 100. IMHO, the focus should be type, type, type!!!

Gererally, if a chicken is a lighter colour (white, buff etc.) they will have a plain white beak...
If they are splash, cuckoo, mille fluer etc. they will have a patchy or black/grey beak...
If they are black, blue etc. they will have a black/grey beak

Hope this helps!
