What Color? Blue Wheaten or Splash Wheaten?

I have NEVER had this much trouble telling the difference between the varieties of Wheaten until now. I’m 5 years into this breed/variety and this cockerel has me guessing still. He was marked as a Blue Wheaten as a chick. A couple weeks after he moved outside he was coloring in much lighter then my normal Blue Wheatens. I posted him in one of the FB groups and they all concur that he is a light Blue Wheaten. I let him mature a few more weeks and now I’m leaning towards Splash Wheaten.

What is your opinion??
Splash Wheaten or a light Blue Wheaten?
He is an Ameraucana BTW.

He looked like a typical wheaten Ameraucana chick, all yellow.
