I just brought this girl home tonight. I got her from a lady who found her in a parking lot.
I think she's a cochin but I have no idea what color she is.

Thanks for any help.

I believe she may be a cochin cross. Her skin appears white (s/b yellow) and her comb doesn't look quite right. She is very pretty though.

i think she is pure but has a side sprig so she would be DQed from any show

The skin appears white on the bird. Cochins should have yellow skin. Adding the comb defect, makes me think she is likely a cross. Not a big deal if she is a pet, but the OP is asking what she is.

Is she laying, or does she look older than a pullet? Don't forget that the coloring on the legs lightens if they are laying... My BRs legs turn more whitish or pinkish than yellow when she is in full laying cycle... Right now she hasn't been laying in a while due to a moult so her legs are going back yellow again.

ChickenLover pointed out this thread to me after I posted this.... thinking someone would love her.

That's her.

The lady I got her from said that she hasn't laid a single egg in the two months that they have had her.
Personally I think she acts like a VERY young chicken. She's such a sweetheart though, if she happens to be old and no longer laying we'll be happy to have her around anyway.

I was just wondering what color we would call her. In the pictures she looks more white with tan but in person she is a light grey with blueish grey and random dark grey spots.
