Ours is stained, just a color we liked, with contrasting trim. The river birch stands out against it. And that birch needs trimming every year!

Mine has vinyl flooring on the inside of the coop, but is otherwise unpainted inside. Only painted the outside. I don't think they've ever taken a look at it though!

We are putting vinyl flooring in ours as well. I won’t be painting the inside of ours either. I don’t really see the point in that. And we are only doing the vinyl flooring to give some protection to the plywood floor.

Plain ole' starch white. My hubby wanted it to match the barn & house.... I would have done a pretty pastel color, maybe pink! And why we did not paint the inside of the doors that are open like all the time... No idea.

Vinyl makes it so quick and easy to clean! I use sweet pdz mixed w sand in the coop, even the nest boxes. I think paint might be good when you use wood chips or straw to maybe help seal it up from mites. So far i haven't had an issue, i assume because the sweet pdz is a desiccant.

You could paint a cute sign on the inside of the doors, like work zone or open for business, chick X-ing!

It does. We just don’t want to have to replace the plywood for as long as possible. We got the OSB and it’s just not all that cheap. Especially with rising prices. We paid like $10 more when we did the coop for a 4’x8’ sheet than we did in April for my husbands temporary shelter area for his tools until we can get his garage built. I considered painting it inside but I just see them pecking it. And they would poop on it anyway. I might do some research on the mites around here and may end up painting the inside anyway lol.

Bright pink is her most favorite. My wife decided that the neighbors wouldn't enjoy pink as much as the purple...
