I really do love having such a variety in our basket!

^ The blue, greens and stone/antique gold colored eggs are all from various EEs. The orangey brown is from my Rhode Island White.

BantyGirl13, this is gonna sound really funny... but it's true. Obama is giving us the green.

She was the first EE we ever hatched and she arrived just a few days after President Obama was elected. And so... even though she ended up being a girl, she's named Obama. (DH named her. I sometimes call her Michelle!

)

Schultz, thanks! It does seem purple but it's actually a stone color with an under layer of blue. The blue speckles out through the stone. Here's a close-up:

Ooooh. What a nice array. That's what I'm talking about! Who could ever go back to boring old store bought white eggs after getting to see this kind of a basket?

I've noticed that blue is particularly hard to photograph being that they tend to mostly be pastel.
