what color eggs do you get?

You're welcome! Your EEs should lay blueish or greenish or greyish eggs.

They should and could, I've got one that lays a beautiful pale apricot with darker apricot speckles!! Love it!

Green eggs, from my one blue EE gal'. Abunch of brown eggs from my BO. White eggs from my one Mollted Houdan hen. Um, and abunch of brown and white eggs from my bantams.

So I get: Brown, White, and Green eggs.

I've got mature brown egg layers, laying mostly different colored light brown to cream colored eggs. My 2 EE pullets have just reached POL and laid their first eggs yesterday and the day before. They're bright blue!

In the brooder I have true Ameraucanas (Wheaten and Blue Wheaten) that will lay blue eggs, EEs that will lay green eggs, white egg layers and more brown egg layers. I will be incubating Olive Eggers and Marans X Welsummers soon in hopes of some olive and dark brown eggs too! I want a very colorful egg basket.

That is so cool! Especially the varities. I only have two pullets at the time, one BR and one EE, but whatever they lay is fine with me. I am excited to see what my Munk lays, hopefully greenish or blueish. Joon is the BR and I had two BR before both laid brown/pinkish eggs, but they laid darn near an egg a day! even through the snow.

Here's my basket so far. The egg in the lower right is actually green. They are so hard to photograph!

Next up for laying are the pure ameraucana's and BCM's. I can hardly wait.

ive got an orpington thats crossed with god only knows what... she gives me a light brown egg everyday at 1100 on the dot. interestingly, by 1300 her light brown eggs become covered in little blue spots.

im pretty new to this so... anyone have any experience with color changing eggs??? its not an issue, they still taste great and dont make anyone sick. im just curious why it happens?

also, anyclue on how to get her to lay in the nesting box, ive tried golfballs, and ive emptied a few of her own eggs and placed them in there too, she still refuses it, and makes her own little place ground level, no matter how many times i rough it up after i grab the egg.

SLW - light tan - smooth texture
GLW - pale pinky tan - chaulky texture
EE - light Green with some light brown spots -chaulky texture
EE - Aqua -smooth and shiny texture
EE - Light blue - smooth and shiny texture
