What color eggs do.....................

What color eggs do barred rocks lay? Reason I ask is I'm pretty sure my BR layed her first egg today and I just want to make sure.

Brown eggs.

They range from light beige to pinky beige to medium-dark brown. See this flat of eggs? All except the dark brown one are from my friend's flock of Barred Rocks. The dark brown one is from my own Barred Rock hen, Lexie. Lots of variation.

OOPS!!! That means Maggy didn't lay that egg. It might have been one of my leghorns but it was a huge egg and I don't know how they could have layed such a huge egg.
