What color eggs will she lay???

I always thought the claim that color of eggs a hen lays matches the color of her ear flaps was an old wives tale. But I surveyed my flock and discovered that the lighter the ear flaps, the lighter the shade of the eggs. My darkest ones are my Welsummers with very dark brown ear flaps. When they begin laying they will lay the darkest eggs of all the breeds.

That black hen with the white ear flaps will probably lay white or very light vanilla eggs.

Thank you!!!! Every one is laying except the last two.... Black and grey.... Watching and waiting....

Now that I looked closer at you black chicken it appears to have some orange streaks on her neck feathers like a black sex link, she probably some kind of mix.

She was marked "Easter egger mix"... But I have no clue.... I am a complete "newbie"... I had never seen one with feathers on their feet..... Thank you for your help.

Still no "new" eggs... Still just getting the brownish eggs and one cream colored... Cream colored is coming from my white/cream/speckled girl
