What color eggs?

The white powdery stuff on the outside is actually a light pink.

Lovely girl! Could be a blue wyandotte, but those dark legs really have me wondering. Possible Easter egger? Still going to say a medium brown for F1. They will get lighter as she gets older.

My wyandotte's eggs were like yours. They look much more pink if I collect right after lay.

Can't find the article atm. It was in regards to color intensity being affected by the type of egg shell. I'm not even sure if I'm saying this right. Think paints. Egg shells with a semi gloss finish reflect more light versus an egg shell with a matte finish. Some think it's partly how much bloom but if you wash and let the egg shell completely dry you can still see a difference in how "reflective" the shell is.
