A cypress swamp in FL
Hi folks, this is Ollie the Orloff! I know he's a mahogany, but what would his genetic color be? I understand if the answer is something along "that depends on..." I'm just looking to have some chicken calculator fun this afternoon. :D

Thanks for any suggestions.

He looks like he is Black Breasted Red. Is his breast black?
Does look more BB Red than Mahogany to me.
Thanks guys. I'll have a good look at his chest tomorrow. I can't die the life of me remember what color it is at the moment.

I see slight Spangling in the beard... so mixed breed or mixed color maybe? I’ll tag @Gray Farms and @Brahma Chicken5000 they know much more than I do. :bow
The coloring in his beard is actually part of the mahogany color scheme, and still seperate from spangel to the best of my readings.

This is from http://russianorloffsociety.weebly.com/breed-standard.html I don't know how accurate it is though.
The mahogany
Male plumage: Beard and whiskers a mixture of black, mahogany and grey, grey pre-ponderating. Neck hackle rich dark orange to mahogany, darkest at the crown and showing very slight black stripes at the base only. Saddle rich mahogany shading to deep orange. Wings rich deep mahogany with a strongly defined green black sheen.
