What color is lavendar?

Lavender looks rather silvery colored, with a tinge of blue. It's, well, lavender! Lavender Ameraucanas are a work in progress so no hatcheries have them. Heck, they don't have Ameraucanas of any color, just EEs. Lavender is being developed and standardized in Ameraucanas right now. Lavender is a specific gene, sometimes called self-blue, but is completely different from the blue gene. This bird is lavender. See how she's an even color all over? Blues have heads and hackles darker than their bodies. That is very simplified, of course.
