hi krista, thought you might see this. saw that you were online. bringing this one to a swap tomorrow and did not want to say partridge unless I was sure. I just 5 min ago set the 2 eggs I got from you in the hatcher. hope they make it.

I will post a pic of the other 2 in the next couple days on this thread for you to see. they have more markings, are just as yellow but have blue under the butt. very pretty. way lighter than the showgirls. need to keep them for a while. the mom is the blue I got from you.

Looks way too light in colour to be called partridge. More likely a buff with dark undercolour. Partridge chicks have chipmunk-like stripes on their back.

Does the partridge feather out initially with a sort of lacing on the wing feathers? I have an almost two week old that I thought was buff, but the wings have what looks like black lacing on them. The feathers are buff and the head is kind of reddish.
