What color is she?? PIC HEAVY

So I bought this hen and they said she is a blue slate, but she doesn't look like my other 2 blue slate hens (or tom) her color is way off... didn't know if any of you know what color she is...

Also I don't know if this means anything but she has 1 blue eye...when I bought her I was told she was blind, but have noticed she can see out of it, it isn't clouded over but ice blue, she does seem to have limited vision out of that eye and it is more noticeable when it is very bright out....

I don't know anything about Turkeys but someone else can answer you. Pretty birds. I had 2 turkeys named Flip and Flop along time ago.

Lavender? are the shaft of her flights light on the outside of the swing and dark under the inside of her wing?

I'll have to check her wings out and see what they look like...

according to this site a lavender is just a self blue (but listed as a blue slate) So would that mean a lavender is just a washed out slate? I am so confused on colors

originally I thought she was a lilac, because her feathers are red tinged...but she lacks the red tail feathers.


Anyone know anything about her having a blue eye?

the blue eye is probably blindness or partial blindness - cloudiness over the cornea. I have had it in my rabbits in the past when they got an eye injury or eye infection as kits.

That is the thing...her eye doesn't look cloudy at all, it is crystal blue with a defined pupil...

I had a BB white tom that had one partially blue eye and one regular brown eye. His eyesight was fine, sounds to me like a pigmentation issue in the iris not necessarily going to harm her.
